Space Plans

When an interior space has an aura of mystique and visual pleasure, it is attributed not only to how it looks but how well it functions. Through space planning, we intentionally create a logical, seamless flow within each space, as well as between spaces so it speaks to the larger story of your home and fits your lifestyle.

We will start by assessing where each element—from appliances to plumbing fixtures to furnishings—should be placed, taking into account any pre-existing challenges or conditions of your house. These challenges could include door and window placement, placement of heating and air conditioning vents, safety code regulations, size of the space, feng shui considerations, and more.

Lighting Plans

There are few things that define a space more than lighting. We do more than select attractive light fixtures. Our lighting planning service gives us the opportunity to discuss what type of light each space needs and how much it needs to satisfy various activities and moods within the home. We will also collaborate with an electrician to ensure our design fits within the parameters of your home, working around various things hidden by ceilings and walls to guide the placement of fixtures and switches.

Select Furnishings 

We strive to create a feeling of unity in your home by thoughtfully pairing design pieces together, resulting in a rare kind of visual magic that delights you and your guests. We present furniture, artwork, and other design options so we can confidently make our selections based on the aesthetics of the design. We also design pieces from scratch when we cannot find something appropriate for the design so the piece is built with your needs in mind. 

Furniture selection can include rugs, seating, tables, bedroom furniture, storage cabinets, lamps, window treatments, bedding, decorative pillows, art and framing, and tabletop accessories.

Architectural  Details  

We want to preserve the character and history of your home while bringing in more of your design preferences. We will create custom details based on the cues of your home’s existing architecture. Our goal is to enhance the existing character and elevate the space with luxurious, quality design.

Detailing can include fireplace surrounds, doors, window and door trim, baseboards, moldings, paneling, cabinets, banisters, soffits and more.

Select Built-in Finishes & Fixtures 

Built-in items have a key role in determining the function and character of your home. These built-in materials can include flooring, paint or wallcovering or murals, cabinets, countertops, hardware, tile, plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, millwork, fireplace mantels, and more. We will work with you in the design phase to select the proper built-in materials.

Design Execution 

We will communicate with your architect, building contractors, and any other vendors while overseeing the overall progress of your project. That means we will take care of drafting construction and technical drawings along with written specifications for items to be provided or installed by contractors. We will also handle ordering, delivery, and the installation of items that we are providing.
